MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON Monday 14 April 2025
Location: Beckwithshaw Village Hall
Present: Councillors – Cllr D Spence (Chairman), Cllr M David, Cllr Mrs S Swires
and Cllr Hull.
Parish Clerk – Mrs J H Galloway.
2 Members of the public were present.
Following the Open Meeting the meeting commenced at 8.00pm

4 Approval of previous minutes –
Approval of the Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on 10 March 2025 was proposed by Cllr Mrs S Swires and seconded by Cllr D Spence. The minutes were signed by the Chairman.
5 Urgent Business – New Website – Clerk to make a list of amendments
still needed.
Defibrillator – Rescue packs purchased and to be placed
in defibrillator cabinets.
Speed Sign – Awaiting contact with TWM, copies of
correspondence to be sent to Cllr Hull.
Bench Suggestions for a new location required.
Newsletter – to be compiled next month.

The bank balances at 31 March 2025 were reported to the Parish
Council:
Business Current Account 845.75
Business Money Manager (Deposit Account) 4,703.54
£5,549.29
TWM invoice (£394.92) requires conversation with TWM
Internal audit completed at end of meeting
- North Yorkshire Councillor Further cuts possible in 2026 and future
boundary changes.

The Parish Council has no objections.

Conversion of 1 agricultural building to form 1 dwelling at Central House
Farm (Mr. P Stainsby)
The Parish Council does not object to or support the application but
wishes to make comments or seek safeguards as set out below
There is concern about safety that the access to this property is along
a single track road, through a farm yard and used by large farm vehicles.

The Parish Council has no objections.
