MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON Tuesday 10 May 2022

 

 

Location:     Beckwithshaw Village Hall

 

Present:         Councillors – Cllr D Spence (Chairman), Cllr A Ellis, , Cllr J Parish and Cllr M David.

 

Parish Clerk – Mrs J H Galloway.

 

                    1 Member of the public was present.  

 

 

          Following the Annual Meeting the meeting commenced at 7.50pm

4        Minutes of the meetings held on 12 April 2022  

 

Approval of the Minutes of the Parish(Open) Council Meeting was proposed by Cllr Parish, seconded by Cllr Ellis and signed by the Chairman.

5        Urgent Business    – Jubilee                 Medals commemorating the Queen’s Platinum

Jubilee will be presented to the Beckwithshaw

School Children at an end of term event by Cllrs

Ellis and Parish. Other Parish Children will be

presented with the medals at the Church Garden

Party on 2 July.

 

Extra bunting has also been purchased to cover the

Copse, School, Village Hall and Church. This will

be put up Sunday 22 May (1 till 3pm)

 

                                        - Commuted Sums  Village hall has used their amount

 

 

 

 

         

6        Finances       The bank balances at 10 May 2022 were reported to the Parish Council:

9        Planning Matters - Decisions

                    22/00957/FUL – Single storey erection and detached garage at Shawfield Farm,

Shaw Lane (Dr S Khoshneviszadeh)                           Granted Permission

 

                                                  Enforcement

                    22/00149/PR15 – Possible breach of planning control, change of use of land for

the storage of non agricultural vehicles at Keepers Cottage, Beckwithshaw.

 

 

10      Local Plan             Infrastructure Delivery Plan due in October.

 

 

11      Traffic and Highways       Banners wording agreed, Proposed by Cllr Spence and

seconded by Cllr David. Carried. Cllr Parish to order.

 

                                                  Untrimmed hedges to be followed up.

 

 

12      Copse and Grass cutting           The “Queen’s Green Canopy” plaque to be place by Oak

sapling at Shaw Lane junction.

                                                                                                                       

Copse Quotes received

 

                              1.       £85.00 + VAT          cut low branches etc.

                              2.       £720.00 + VAT        New post tops etc.

                              3.       £730.00 + VAT        Relay paving.

                              It was proposed by Cllr David and seconded by Cllr Parish that quote 2 be

accepted first in readiness for the Jubilee weekend.

 

 

13      Correspondence              A letter had been sent re the fallen tree near roundabout. The

Landowner had replied positively, saying that they would remove

debris and to reinstate wall.

 

                                                           

 

 

14      Councillors Questions    Continue to actively seek a new Parish Councillor to fill the

vacancy.
