4. Minutes of the meetings held on 8
February 2022 Parish Council Meeting
Approval of the Minutes of the above Parish Council
Meetings was proposed by Cllr David, seconded by Cllr Swires and signed by the Chairman.
5. Urgent Business: a. Emergency Plan – Has been updated.
b. There is Elections this May for Parish Councillors.
Election
Papers were distributed, to be completed and
returned to Harrogate
Borough Council by April 5th.

The
Parish Council does not object to or support the application but wishes to make
a comment that the access road from the junction of Lady Lane, Beckwith Head
Road and Howhill Quarry Road needs improvement to allow for existing and
increased traffic use.

10. Local Plan The
Parameters Plan has been approved by HBC, but the Road issues
will not be addressed until after the
elections.

Traffic and Highways: Hard barriers and traffic ‘bumps’ were discounted for reducing
traffic speed. Possible use of banners.
12. Copse and Grass
Cutting:
A
litter pick to be held on 19 March 2022.
School
– A letter to be sent to the Chief Executive at NYCC about the fence between School and the Copse which
has been incorrectly replaced with a fence containing a gate into the copse.
Letter
to be sent to owner of South View re overgrown hedges.
Chevin
Landscapes have accepted the contract for grass cutting at the junction of Shaw
Lane and the B6161, and trimming the verge from there towards the Smith’s Arms.
Housing
department to be contacted re the overhanging trees at Williams Court.
The
paving in the copse needs levelling.
