4. Minutes of the meetings held on 13
February 2020.
Approval of the Minutes of the Parish Council
Meeting held on 13 February 2020 was proposed by Cllr Ellis, seconded by Cllr
Spence and signed by the Chairman.
5. Matters arising not dealt with elsewhere: None.
6. Traffic and Highways:
Cllr
David reported that another traffic/speed logging exercise would be conducted
for us, the logger will be located on B6162 near roundabout. The data from Lady
Lane and Howhill Road to be sent to HAPARA.
Still a problem with Parish Portal. Problem has
been resubmitted.
There is some confusion about the speed limit
on the B6162.
7. Urgent Business:
a) Grass Cutting Contract
to be awarded to Simon Crossley, £55 plus VAT
per cut for Verge at
Shaw Lane Junction and £44 plus
VAT per cut for the grass verge between the Shaw
Lane corner and the
Smiths Arms.
Proposed by Cllr David
and seconded by Cllr Ellis.
All Agreed.
b) Litter Pick Saturday
4 April 2020, information to be included on the
Spring Newsletter.
c) Bench Look
into possibility of a Remembrance Bench (VE Day), Cllr Oldham may have a
contact.
e) Emergency Plan Iain
Spiers to be contacted about a possible dry run.
f) Knabs Ridge Fund Apply for grant re data retrieval from
Traffic Sign.

9. District Councillor’s
Report:
Council Tax for 2020/21 has been
agreed.
The Local Plan has been
approved by the Borough
Council.

Borough Council.

13. Correspondence:
i) P Garnham Email about road safety issues at
the Charles Church development.
The temporary pedestrian crossing will be made
into a proper traffic island when the remaining developments take place. The possibility
of public buses along the B6162 is being looked
into by a Harrogate
Borough Council Committee. A residents petition
may help.
ii) Newsletters and e-mails
forwarded to councillors.
14. Update on the
Copse etc: Winter Break. The verges of the B6162 between
Harlow Hill
and Howhill road has
been planted with daffodil bilbs.
