MINUTES OF THE FINANCE MEETING HELD ON Thursday 24 September 2020

Apologies for Absence: Cllr M David, Cllr T Muirhead and Cllr J Gordon.

1. a) The bank balances at 24 September 2020 were reported to the

Meeting.

The balance includes the receipt of the first half of the precept

b) Approval for payments made by Bank Internet Transfer:-

North Yorkshire County Council £600.00

Zurich Municipal £257.60

Clerks Salary £374.40

Clerks Tax to HMRC £93.60

Beckwithshaw Village Hall £100.00

Proposed by Cllr Ellis and seconded by Cllr Spence. Carried.

Approval to make the following payments by Bank Internet Transfer:-

Clerks Salary (Includes backpay) £395.20

Clerks Tax to HMRC £98.80

Clerks Expenses £82.15

Proposed by Cllr Mrs Ryder and seconded by Cllr Spence. Carried.

c) The Parish Council Accounts .

The Internal Audit was conducted by Cllrs Spence and Ellis and

signed by Cllr Spence.

The Receipts and Payments Account and Bank Reconciliation for the

year ending 31 March 2020

Approval was proposed by Cllr Mrs Ryder and seconded by Cllr Ellis.

The Accounts were signed by the Chairman and Clerk.

2. Annual Return.

a) Exemption Certificate.

The Certificate was completed, approval was proposed by Cllr Mrs Ryder and seconded by Cllr Ellis, carried by all, and signed by the Chairman and Clerk.

b) Annual Governance Statement.

The statement was completed, approval was proposed by Cllr Ellis and seconded by Cllr Mrs Ryder, carried by all, and signed by the Chairman and Clerk.

c) Accounting Statement.

The statement was completed, approval was propoedl by Cllr Mrs Ryder and seconded by Cllr Ellis, carried by all and signed by the Chairman and Clerk.
